Technavio projects nearly 4% growth in dental implant market

The global market for dental implants was projected to grow by a CAGR of 4.99% across the forecast period of 2022 to 2026, according to a report from Technavio. The market was predicted to grow by a value of $1.27 billion from 2021 to 2026.

Market increase was expected to be due to interest in cosmetic dental care, including orthodontics and other procedures. Cosmetic procedures driving market growth include tooth whitening and treatment for dental caries and periodontal disorders.

Dental implants have gained traction as they have become more widely available. The advent of robotic dental surgery in dental implants has also aided the market’s growth. Costs of implants were thought to potentially slow growth in the market.

Across the market, continual research and development have driven spending in the market. Dentists who are able to perform cosmetic procedures are also common, which is thought to spur growth in the overall dental implant market.
