Dental implants to exceed $8B

The market for dental implants is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.6% across the period, from 2021 to 2028, according to a report by market research firm, The Insight Partners. At the outset of the forecast period, in 2021, the market is valued at $4.82 billion. By the end of the period in 2028, the dental implant market is expected to be worth $8.07 billion.

Market increase is forecast as the number of patients with tooth decay continues to grow. The market sees also good reimbursement for procedures for dental implants perhaps due to be efficacy, safety, and durability of implants compared to efforts to replace teeth.  Building on that trend, technological advances in the market, added to by startup companies with innovative products, are expected to add to growth in the dental implant market. 

Continued collaborations, partnerships, and acquisitions have added to activity in the dental implants market and thereby interest from investors. 

Across the market, dentures are forecast to have the highest CAGR growth based on segment, according to the report. That is a change from dental bridges, which had the largest market share in 2021. By material, the 2021 market was led by titanium implants which had the largest share. In the report period, zirconium implants are expected to grow at the fastest CAGR rate.
