Katherine E. Pfaff

The global market for dental equipment and consumables is forecast to reach about $58.3 billion by the end of 2031. This is based on a report by market analysts, Growth Plus Market Reports.

The increase over the time period is expected to account for a CAGR of about 6.0%. Analysts project the market’s growth as rates of dental disease continue to increase worldwide and the interest in cosmetic dental industry grows in select market regions.

Adding further to the uptick, are the number of aging patients globally who have specific disorders related to geriatric dental care. The addition of technological changes will further increase growth in the market, according to the report.

By type of product, consumables hold the top spot as the number of dental procedures increase as well as the general publics’ knowledge of the products. If viewed from a geographical standpoint, the North American market holds the largest share of the global dental consumables and dental market. The next largest is Asia Pacific.
