A new text to help practitioners address a prevalent concern

Early treatment can be a controversial topic in orthodontics, and a recently published textbook by Dr. Peter Buschang, Regents Professor in orthodontics, together with Dr. Eustáquio Araújo, a professor at the St. Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education, provides treatment protocols for mixed-dentition patients with various forms of malocclusion. “Recognizing and Correcting Developing Malocclusions: A Problem-Oriented Approach to Orthodontics,” published online by Wiley in December 2015 and in print this month, is intended for audiences of practicing clinicians and orthodontic residents alike, with myriad case studies and more than 300 clinical photographs and radiographs.
