Pro 3D scanner gets upgrade

Katherine E. Pfaff

3D R&D in additive manufacturing company, Shining 3D, has debuted its newest offering in 3D scanners, the Aoralscan 3. The oral scanner marks an expanded offering of the firm’s scanner portfolio.

With Aoralscan 3, the device has received several improvements from earlier iterations, including speed (30% faster) in scanning, ease, and clarity. Based on upgrades to the device, the precision of scan results has increased by 30%. The scanner’s ability to screen out unnecessary information has also improved.

At the same time, the scanner can now be used with little management with a computer, and the scan tip has been lengthened to provide better depth.
