The company also raised its full-year financial guidance, citing confidence in its operational performance and ongoing value creation initiatives.
Henry Schein reported strong financial results for the second quarter of 2026, fueled by broad-based sales growth, improved profitability, and continued momentum across its dental, medical, specialty, and technology businesses. The company also raised its full-year financial guidance, citing confidence in its operational performance and ongoing value creation initiatives.
For the quarter, Henry Schein generated net sales of $3.5 billion, a 6.7% increase compared with the second quarter of 2025. The growth reflected 4.6% internal sales growth, contributions from acquisitions, and favorable foreign currency exchange. Global Dental Distribution merchandise sales rose 9.7%, while equipment sales increased 3.8%. The company’s Specialty Products and Technology segments also delivered strong gains, increasing 8.7% and 8.2%, respectively.
Profitability also improved during the quarter. GAAP net income increased to $94 million, or $0.82 per diluted share, while non-GAAP net income reached $145 million, or $1.27 per diluted share. Adjusted EBITDA climbed to $288 million, reflecting continued margin improvement and the early impact of the company’s operational efficiency initiatives. During the quarter, Henry Schein also repurchased approximately 2.6 million shares of common stock for $200 million.
CEO Fred Lowery said the company’s performance reflects sustained business momentum, disciplined execution, and progress on strategic value creation initiatives. He noted that management remains focused on accelerating growth, simplifying operations, strengthening customer relationships, and improving long-term shareholder value.
Based on its strong first-half performance, Henry Schein raised its fiscal 2026 guidance. The company now expects non-GAAP diluted earnings per share between $5.29 and $5.39 , total sales growth of 4.5% to 5.5% , and adjusted EBITDA growth in the mid- to high-single-digit range. Management said the updated outlook reflects confidence in continued execution and favorable underlying business trends through the remainder of the year.
