Breezy Face Launches Fan-Cooled Dental Face Shield at CDA Presents 2026

The dentist-invented shield aims to close the compliance gap by being the first one clinicians actually want to wear.

Breezy Face launched its battery-powered, fan-cooled face shield at CDA Presents 2026. The dentist-invented product is on display at booth 1232 and available for purchase at BreezyFace.com .

Response at the conference has exceeded expectations. Breezy Face sold through its on-site inventory early on the second day of CDA Presents, with additional units shipping from the company’s office. Booth 1232 has drawn steady traffic from clinicians eager to try the shield, with many returning with colleagues and friends in tow.

Most dental and clinical professionals know they should wear face shields, but not all of them do. Heat, fogging, glare, and poor fit make traditional shields uncomfortable to wear during procedures, leaving a compliance gap that providers have accepted for years.

Breezy Face was designed to close that gap. The shield features a built-in airflow system that prevents heat buildup and fogging, an ergonomic frame that fits over loupes, and a mount point for a light. The frame and shield are made in the USA.

“During COVID, I was sweating through every procedure and constantly fighting a fogged-up shield and loupes,” says inventor and co-founder Matthew Johnson, DDS. “I finally rigged a small fan to a shield, and I haven’t worn anything else since. Most dental professionals know that a shield is part of a complete PPE system, but shields have been cumbersome and hot. Breezy Face is the first one I’ve worn that I actually want to keep on all day.”

Early users describe a similar experience. “If you’re tired of overheating behind a mask, you have got to see this. Fits great, even when wearing Light Solutions,” said John Pace of Student Dentist Connection.

Breezy Face is available at BreezyFace.com for $119 and comes in five color options. CDA Presents attendees can use promo code CDABF for $20 off each shield through June 16, 2026, bringing the price to $99. Team discounts are available for purchases of five or more shields, automatically applied in the cart.

Breezy Face is a dentist -founded company building face shields designed to actually be worn. Headquartered in Carlsbad, California, the company was co-founded by Matthew Johnson, DDS (inventor and practicing dentist), Thanh Luu, DDS (practicing dentist and founder of Light Solutions), and their respective spouses Kristina Johnson and Stacy Le. Patents pending.
