DentaQuest, part of Sun Life U.S., today announced it has once again earned full URAC Dental Plan Accreditation. URAC is the independent organization recognized as the leader in promoting healthcare quality by setting high standards for clinical practice, consumer protections, performance measurement, operations infrastructure, and risk management. Accreditation by URAC reinforces DentaQuest’s ongoing commitment to quality care, efficient and effective processes, and improved patient outcomes.
“This achievement is a testament to DentaQuest’s unwavering dedication to excellence in dental care and service,” said David Healy, president of dental, Sun Life U.S. “It validates our ongoing efforts to enhance quality, improve outcomes, and deliver exceptional value to our members and partners. As we continue to innovate and grow, this recognition reinforces our position as a leader in dental benefits management and our dedication to improving the oral health of all.”
URAC accreditation involves a comprehensive review of an applicant’s policies, procedures, and other organizational information for achievement in nationally recognized standards, evaluating dental plans alongside other healthcare organizations. The award is effective through Jan. 1, 2026.
“The URAC Dental Plan seal shows an organization’s commitment to high quality in healthcare in the areas of risk management, consumer protection and empowerment, operations and infrastructure, as well as performance management and improvement,” said URAC president and CEO Shawn Griffin, MD. “We are proud to recognize DentaQuest for their achievement in these areas.”
