Key achievements and milestones that defined 2024:

Expansion and Growth

• New Practices: MB2 Dental expanded its network by adding 108 new practices, reaching a total of more than 750 by year-end.
• New States: The company’s growth into Iowa, Massachusetts, South Carolina, Vermont, and West Virginia increased its national footprint to 44 states.
• Patient Reach: With this expansion, the company completed 4 million patient visits, showcasing its growing influence and commitment to patient care. This also highlights success in building a robust network of dental professionals committed to excellence.

Strategic Investments

• Strategic Financing: In February, the company secured $2.3 billion in unitranche debt financing for future acquisitions and advancement, highlighting its robust financial health and strategic vision.
• Recapitalization: In November, the business received a $525 million investment from Warburg Pincus, marking the third recapitalization in seven years. This significant investment will provide liquidity options to doctor partners and support further expansion, ensuring they remain a leading organization in the dental industry.

Investments in People and Properties

• Empowering Doctors: Launched MB2U, a program empowering associate doctors to transition into practice ownership with expert-led training, business tools, and central support. Through quarterly events, MB2U fosters peer connections while helping doctors maintain control of their practices and benefit from the resources of a larger organization.
• Growing Community: At the end of 2024, MB2 Dental now has more than 11,000 team members, including more than 1,700 doctors and over 500 support team members.
• Headquarters Expansion: The company’s Carrollton, Texas headquarters was expanded with a 16,000-square-foot building in early 2024, and a third 16,280-square-foot location is planned for early 2025.

Philanthropic Efforts and Awards

• Nonprofit Foundation: The MB2 Family Foundation, the corporation’s 501(c)(3) charitable organization, supports its employees beyond their professional roles. The Family Foundation provided $1,000 scholarships to 15 deserving students this year. The Foundation also provided more $230,000 in grants to team members across the country who faced financial hardships, as well as those impacted by natural disasters.
• Community Service: MB2 Dental continued its commitment to community service with the seventh-annual Dental Jamaica Mission Trip, serving over 350 patients who received more than 500 essential dental care procedures.
• Prestigious Awards: Winner of the 22nd Annual American Business Awards for Best Entrepreneur (Dr. Villanueva) and a silver for Company of the Year (Health Products & Services – Large Category). Dr. Villanueva was also recognized by the Dallas Business Journal on its inaugural C-Suite Leader awards.
