Dentsply Sirona is committed to delivering solutions that advance dentistry for the best patient outcomes and empower dental professionals. The recently enhanced Symbios Allograft mineralized and demineralized line of regenerative solutions is designed for a wide range of dental surgery and implant needs—helping promote bone formation, volume, and stability for predictable, long-term outcomes. The updated portfolio includes new granule allografts, putty products, and the acellular dermal matrix, Symbios PerioDerm.
“The updates to our Symbios Allograft portfolio were introduced with the needs of both clinicians and patients in mind, offering predictable handling every step of the way,” said Tony Susino, GVP of implant & prosthetic solutions at Dentsply Sirona. “Our enhanced range is a testament to scientific rigor, continuing our legacy of excellence in precision and sterility to deliver fast and accurate results that both clinicians and patients can rely on.”
The Symbios Allograft range now features a wide variety of mineralized and demineralized granules, as well as mixtures of both, with newly selected granule sizes for enhanced performance and versatility. The allografts adhere to the strictest standards of donor screening, disinfection, cleaning, preservation, and inspection, with minimal manipulation to preserve tissue integrity.
“I have been utilizing the new Symbios Allograft bone graft granule portfolio for some time now. The size and texture of the granules allowed them to mix well with blood concentrate materials at the time of placement, resulting in good handling properties. The most satisfying part is the uncovering; seeing fewer particles always gives me comfort, knowing we were able to develop vital bone,” said Dr. Sausha Toghranegar, periodontist.
Collaborations With Two Trusted Companies to Develop the New Granule, Dermis, and Putty Products
Dentsply Sirona works with RegenX for the granule portfolio, which utilizes the patented Excellion process for bone processing procedures, offering mineralized and demineralized cortical and cancellous granules, as well as a mixture of both. The granules are designed for a wide range of regenerative applications, offering enhanced performance and versatility.
Dentsply Sirona has also continued its long-term relationship with MTF Biologics to deliver dermis and putty products. DBX Putty offers a prefilled, ready-to-use syringe of demineralized bone putty, while the PerioDerm Acellular Dermis soft tissue graft is processed to preserve its extracellular matrix while removing cellular components.
Both companies are accredited by the American Association of Tissue Banks and registered with the FDA. In addition, they provide donated tissues that undergo rigorous donor screening criteria, with less than 2% of donations accepted.*
