Exocad premieres software to streamline patient visits

Katherine E. Pfaff

The CAD software company, exocad GmBH, has launched its newest offering with the ChairsideCAD 3.0 Galway which lets dentists keep treatment to a single visit. The software system provides a range of designing options, from an automated workflow to flexible integration with other technologies.

"ChairsideCAD's open architecture means clinicians can pair it easily with their preferred open hardware devices," said Tillmann Steinbrecher, CEO and co-founder of exocad. "This gives our users real freedom of choice helping to further one of our primary goals at exocad: creating software that's truly future-proof."

The automated workflow lets dentists design a crown with a few steps, or map the design of the current tooth with the use of intraoral scanners. Cloud-based services also can send the design information directly to manufacturers. When the implant is created, surgery can then be managed with the company’s exoplan software.

The program will be premiered at the International Dental Show in Cologne, Germany.
