The three-day clinical education event featured a dynamic program including over 65 courses, 55 expert speakers, new learning tracks, fully booked hands-on sessions, exciting product launches, and a keynote from Orangetheory founder Ellen Latham.
DS World 2025, held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas from September 25–27, brought together thousands of dental professionals for three days of innovation, education, and entertainment. This year’s event marked a major milestone: the 40th anniversary of the CEREC system, Dentsply Sirona’s pioneering chairside CAD/CAM system that has transformed digital dentistry.
Dentsply Sirona’s new CEO, Dan Scavilla, joined clinical experts like Dr. Michael Skramstad and Dr. Shivi Gupta to showcase how Connected Dentistry—powered by integrated, data-driven technologies—can streamline workflows, foster collaboration, and elevate patient care.
The main stage also featured keynote speaker Ellen Latham, founder of Orangetheory Fitness, who shared powerful insights on leadership and business growth. Entertainment highlights included Emmy-winning comedian Dana Carvey and a live performance by Grammy-winner Sheryl Crow.
Serving as emcee, Dr. Mona Patel energized the audience with humor and heartfelt reflections on the power of community and technology—core elements of this year’s theme, Empowering Connection. “The future of dentistry isn’t something that happens to us—it’s something we build, together.” Reflecting on her own journey, which began at DS World a decade ago, Patel added: “Being at DS World opened my eyes and opened doors—I came home empowered to create a state-of-the-art digital dental practice.”
Showcasing Innovations
As DS World 2025 celebrated four decades of the CEREC system, it also looked ahead to the future—empowering dental professionals to connect, learn, and lead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. This forward-looking spirit was reflected in the unveiling of new solutions that build on CEREC’s legacy of innovation:
The event also showcased upcoming solutions like CEREC Go, an affordable, 2-motor milling unit for crowns, inlays, and onlays made of composites and hybrid ceramics. It supports fast grinding and integrates with DS Core for seamless design-to-manufacture workflows.
Together, these innovations underscore Dentsply Sirona’s commitment to delivering solutions that help clinicians streamline workflows for efficiency, elevate patient care, and grow their practices with confidence.
Dentsply Sirona’s commitment to more sustainable events
In line with Dentsply Sirona’s global sustainability strategy, “BEYOND: Taking Action for a Brighter World,” reducing DS World’s environmental impact was a key priority throughout the planning and execution of the event. Sustainable decisions included selecting the Green Globes-certified MGM Grand as the venue, collaborating with local and eco-conscious vendors, and utilizing digital communications to minimize paper waste.
Save the Date for DS World 2026
DS World will return to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas from September 24–26, 2026, offering a comprehensive clinical education program and opportunities for dental professionals to exchange insights with peers who share a commitment to advancing dentistry.
