Dentsply Sirona Leads Dental Sustainability Transformation

Since launching its sustainability strategy “BEYOND: Taking Action for a Brighter World” in 2021, Dentsply Sirona has worked to advance environmental, social, and business health both within the company and across the global dental industry. The company’s 2024 Sustainability Report reaffirms this commitment and showcases tangible progress made during 2024.

Dentsply Sirona, the world’s largest diversified manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies, has published its 2024 Sustainability Report, which shows that the company has met several goals ahead of the 2025 timeframe and introduced a new environmental goal focusing on recyclable packaging.

“We are proud of the progress we have made since launching our sustainability strategy, and we are encouraged by the outcomes we achieved over the past year,” said Tony Johnson, SVP, chief supply chain officer, and executive sponsor for ESG at Dentsply Sirona. “We’ve strengthened our governance systems and set a new ambitious goal around packaging as we continue to work toward Net Zero—all while acting responsibly for the planet, society, our company, and our customers.”

Driven by its sustainability strategy “BEYOND: Taking Action for a Brighter World,” Dentsply Sirona is proud of the meaningful progress achieved across the strategy’s three pillars: Healthy Planet (environmental goals), Healthy Smiles (social goals), and Healthy Business (governance goals).

Key highlights from the 2024 Sustainability Report

“2024 was a year of focused effort and strategic action that resulted in measurable progress across our sustainability priorities,” said Tony Johnson. “From product innovation and emissions reduction to inclusion-focused programs and education, our sustainability progress in 2024 is thanks in no small part to the exceptional talents of our employees and our valuable partnerships with our stakeholders.
