Center for Oral Health Announces 2025 Symposium & 40th Anniversary Gala

The Center for Oral Health (COH) proudly announces its 2025 Symposium, Oral Health & Quality of Life Among Older Adults: Advancing Access Through Multidisciplinary Collaboration, taking place Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento. This full-day event will conclude with a formal 40th Anniversary Gala honoring four decades of innovation, research, and advocacy in oral health.

With California’s aging population on the rise, this timely symposium will convene over 200 health professionals, policymakers, researchers, and advocates from across the state and nation. Attendees will explore critical issues in older adult oral health, engage in solution-driven breakout sessions, and review key findings from COH’s second statewide oral health needs assessment. Session topics include mobile dentistry, dental school-community partnerships, care for older adults experiencing homelessness, and more.

Speakers include:

  • Dr. Shakalpi Pendurkar, DDS, MPH, California State Dental Director
  • Dr. Richard J. Rosato, DMD, President-Elect, American Dental Association
  • Mary Foley, RDH, MPH, Executive Director, Medicaid | Medicare | CHIP Services Dental Association
  • Dr. Paul Glassman, DDS, Associate Dean for Research & Community Engagement, California Northstate University
  • Robert Milam, MPH, Research & Evaluation Manager, Center for Oral Health
  • Leaders from LifeLong Medical Care, California Dental Association, Dientes Community Dental Care, and the University of California, Los Angeles

“We are thrilled to celebrate 40 years of advancing oral health equity,” said Tiffany Turner, CEO of the Center for Oral Health. “This symposium reflects our unwavering commitment to ensuring every older adult has access to the care and dignity they deserve.”

The evening gala will feature live music, a silent auction, and a casino-themed fundraiser. Awards will be presented to honor outstanding leaders and partners who have made lasting contributions to oral health access and innovation.

Registration is now open to healthcare professionals, advocates, students, and community members. Sponsorship opportunities are also available, offering high-visibility engagement with leading voices in oral health and aging services.
