Air Techniques’ New PSP Holder System Incorporates Many Practical Solutions into a Single Product

Unveiled at the Greater New York Dental Meeting last winter, Air Techniques’ new VistaPosition PSP Holder System was specifically developed for photostimulable phosphor (PSP) plates, incorporating several practical solutions into a single product.

Specially developed bite blocks fix the PSPs securely and gently in place. Thanks to the optimized ergonomic shape of the bite block, the PSP does not need to be folded or compressed when it is inserted in the holder, thus improving its longevity, according to the manufacturer.

VistaPosition PSP Holder System is compatible with nearly all commonly used PSP systems and intraoral x-ray units, the company says. Assembly of the individual components could not be easier thanks to the high-quality finish and color coding of the individual parts.

The premium VistaPosition PSP Titanium product is designed to meet the highest requirements and uses titanium for the indicator arm. This not only results in a significant weight reduction for increased patient comfort, but it also facilitates reliable, accurate positioning for intraoral images, Air Techniques states. All parts of VistaPosition are suitable for immersion/thermal disinfection and can be autoclaved.
