Championing women in dentistry has been an important area of action for Dentsply Sirona for many years and a cornerstone of Dentsply Sirona’s sustainability strategy, “BEYOND: Taking Action for a Brighter World.” As a result, the company once again wholeheartedly supports International Women’s Day (IWD) and hopes to help spread this year’s motto, “Accelerate Action,” worldwide.

Ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8, Dentsply Sirona, the world’s largest diversified manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies, continues to fully commit to driving forward the goal to “Accelerate Action” toward greater equality, representation, and inclusion for women in the dental industry.

Taking Our Place as a Leader Within the Industry

The theme for International Women’s Day 2025 is “Accelerate Action.” This communicates the goal of moving beyond a “one day it will happen” perspective on achieving greater inclusion, representation, and equity for women across the globe. It is a commitment to take action and drive these goals forward, ensuring that “one day” arrives sooner rather than later.

Through Dentsply Sirona’s BEYOND initiative, the company drives meaningful change in the dental industry for a brighter future. For instance, the company continues its longstanding support as a founding member of Women in DSO, whose mission is to highlight the achievements of women in dental service organizations and empower them to become industry leaders. Dentsply Sirona provides ongoing strategic support and resources for the organization and its members as they work together to promote women in dentistry.

At the recent Chicago Midwinter Meeting in the U.S., women took center stage at several events, such as the 11th edition of the Women in Dentistry Rise breakfast, which was hosted by Dentsply Sirona and Argen. Additionally, Julie Mroziak served as host for the event, showcasing how Dentsply Sirona is a driving force for women in dentistry.

Internally, Dentsply Sirona reached a significant milestone in 2024, achieving total average gender pay parity across its global workforce.

Employee-Driven Actions Led by WOMEN@DS Employee Resource Group

A crucial part of creating a supportive and growth-promoting environment at Dentsply Sirona is played by WOMEN@DS, one of nine Employee Resource Groups (ERG) dedicated to elevating female talent through professional development and offering women opportunities to take center stage in the company. It was the first ERG at Dentsply Sirona and continues to lead in membership and engagement, with over 1,650 members globally.

As part of its ongoing commitment to empowering women and in celebration of International Women’s Day,WOMEN@DS is organizing an internal lecture event featuring **Clarissa Medeiros—entrepreneur, mentor, consultant, executive coach, speaker, and author—**who will speak about women’s leadership.

Additionally, WOMEN@DS leads several internal programs, including DS Sponsor and Women in Leadership, both aimed at accelerating involvement and leadership opportunities for women at Dentsply Sirona.
