Smile Doctors, the largest orthodontic support organization (OSO) in the U.S., ended 2024 strong, achieving organic year-over-year (YoY) growth, continuing the expansion of its Joint Venture model, entering four new states—South Dakota, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania—and investing in its senior leadership team. These strategic moves position the company for continued industry-leading growth through 2025. The Smile Doctors network of affiliated practices now includes more than 460 locations across 32 states.
In 2024, Smile Doctors added 31 affiliated locations and opened five de novo practices, with 10 more planned for 2025. The most recent partnerships include:
“Our continued growth is driven by our dedication to supporting our partner doctors,” said Dr. Scott Law, co-founder and chief clinical officer. “Whether that’s through access to innovative technology and advances in treatment modalities or by offering world-class operations and marketing support, we enable our partner doctors to focus their time on their patients. We’ve been successful because we meet our doctors where they are and help them grow their practices by putting their patients first.”
Smile Doctors also invested in strengthening its leadership team in 2024, positioning the organization to meet growing demand while offering enhanced support to its network of affiliated orthodontists.
“We expect 2025 to be an exciting chapter of innovation for Smile Doctors, and these leaders bring with them the expertise, energy, and vision needed to scale our impact across the industry and for each and every one of our affiliated practices,” added J. Hedrick, CEO of Smile Doctors.
