Delta Dental of Idaho Invests $177,000 in Grants to Advance Community Oral Health


Delta Dental of Idaho is proud to announce its Fall 2024 Oral Health Grant Program recipients. A total of $177,000 was awarded to four deserving organizations across Idaho to improve access to oral healthcare and advance dental education and awareness.

This year’s recipients and their funded projects include:

  • Adams County Health Center (ACHC) – Awarded $50,000 for dental equipment upgrades and the installation of the American Dental Association (ADA) TV system, enhancing patient education and experiences.
  • Central District Health (CDH) – Awarded $39,120 for the “CDH Youth Oral Health” program, which provides school-based sealant and fluoride varnish applications to improve oral health outcomes for children in the region.
  • College of Southern Idaho (CSI) Foundation – Awarded $42,850 for the “CSI Dental Workforce and Clinical Support” initiative, funding an online dental assisting course, clinic equipment, and subsidizing or fully covering clinic service fees for patients in need.
  • Snake River Community Clinic (SRCC) – Awarded $45,100 for its “AMP Up the Safety-Net Dental Clinic” program, which supports the clinic’s capacity to provide essential oral health services to underserved populations.

These oral health grants are part of Delta Dental’s ongoing commitment to improving oral health outcomes in Idaho by supporting programs and organizations that make a lasting impact in their communities.

“Through our Oral Health Grant Program, we’re able to fund critical projects that address the oral health needs of underserved populations, enhance patient care, and strengthen the dental workforce in Idaho,” said Heather Brown, senior director of community outreach and oral health for Delta Dental of Idaho. “We are honored to partner with these organizations in their important work to improve the health and well-being of Idahoans.”
