Directa Dental Group acquires Sendoline® and ContacEZ®

Innovative dental consumables manufacturer Directa Directa Dental Group, based in Upplands Väsby, Sweden, is proud to announce the acquisition of Swedish endodontic product manufacturer Sendoline AB on December 15, 2020.

Founded in 1917, Sendoline develops, manufactures, and markets dental products in the field of endodontics. Sendoline's main products are root canal instruments, endodontic files, and the new SendoSeal MTA, Sendoline's biocompatible root canal sealant.

One of Sendoline's first innovations was the Hedström file (also known as H-File), developed in the 1940s and still one of the most widely used endocanal tools globally. The introduction of the S-file in the 1980s is another example of Sendoline's contribution to endodontics.

On 23 December, the group also acquired the US ContacEZ, the first and only company in the world focused on developing techniques and solutions for interproximal space.

Directa Dental Group ends a year of substantial expansion that began in January with the acquisition of the Danish Rønvig, followed shortly after by the Swedish Trolldental. The declared goal for 2021 is to continue to grow and strengthen the offer of niche products, incorporating additional strategic segments of the dental market.
