BioHorizons Camlog announced on July 24 that it will participate in the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) 2023 Congress in Berlin from September 28 to 30, 2023. According to EAO, more than 5,000 visitors from all over the world are expected at this year's event. For the first time, organizers have made it possible to attend EAO programs online.
At the BioHorizons Camlog stand H09, participants can discover the company's portfolio of innovative and holistic regenerative solutions in biomaterials and implant systems. BioHorizons Camlog has established itself as one of the leading suppliers of premium dental implant systems, restorative components, a comprehensive line of biologics products and digital solutions which helps dentists to provide patients with the optimum treatment.
BioHorizons Camlog will also host two workshops at EAO.
On Friday, Sept. 29, Prof. Daniel Rothamel from Germany will talk about allogeneic bone substitute materials for bone regeneration in his workshop. He will demonstrate fundamentals and techniques of hard tissue augmentation with allografts based on patient cases and hands-on exercises. The practical exercises on the model include the application of allogeneic materials in particulate form, block augmentation, and the shell technique.
Later that day, Dr. Robert Oretti from the United Kingdom will present the concept of open healing and demonstrate options for its application in modern implant dentistry. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn to choose between the different treatment options, focusing on the steps to achieve passive closure over the bone graft without compromising the muco-gingival line.
Between the two workshops, Rothamel and Oretti will provide insight into allogeneic bone substitute materials in an industry forum, as there is growing evidence that allogeneic grafts may be a safe alternative to autologous grafts in implant therapy. In this forum, they will present new data and therapeutic concepts on allografts, indicating the potential clinical relevance of these materials in implant dentistry.
