Impact factor for Dental Cadmos

Dental Cadmos is the longest-running scientific magazine in the Italian dental sector with 90 years of publication. It recently received a coveted recognition: the Impact Factor.

In late June, the 2023 edition of Journal Citation Reports published the list of scientific journals that have been assigned an Impact Factor, including Dental Cadmos among those indexed.

According to the journal, Dental Cadmos has an initial impact factor of 0.2, a starting point to continue to expand and improve upon.

Editor in Chief Giovanni Lodi said receiving the Impact Factor is an important milestone in the publication’s lengthy history.

“Receiving the Impact Factor means, first of all, entering the category of journals considered more rigorous in terms of scientific quality," he said.

Andrea Ludovico Baldessin, CEO of Edra S.p.A, which publishes the journal, said the journal has matured over time in an unparallel manner.

"The impact on the scientific community of Dental Cadmos has been recognized worldwide," he said.

Baldessin said that the journal has reached this milestone thanks to the great scientific commitment from leaders and staff within Edra.

“This would not have happened without leadership from Professor Massimo Gagliani and with contributions from Professor Lorenzo Breschi and Dino Re, along with the great commitment and vision of Giovanni Lodi, who directs the magazine,” he said.

“The entire journal team contributes to its success every day, with the publication managed by Barbara Moret,” Baldessin added.

In a news post, he expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the constant growth of Edra's dental activities, unconditional commitment of the scientific board, work of reviewers and contributions from the authors who have shared their research in Dental Cadmos.
