CURAPROX marks 50 years, welcomes new CEO

Katherine E. Pfaff

The holistic oral health company CURAPROX has reached a milestone of 50 years in operation. The company also welcomes its first female chief executive officer, Christine Breitschmid, who has worked for parent company Curaden, a family-run company, for more than 10 years.

CURAPROX produces colorful and effective products including interdental brushes, manual toothbrushes with fine and precisely arranged filaments, gentle toothpastes and best-in-class sonic toothbrushes.

Breitschmid, who most recently served as managing director of Curaden, said in a news release that the company’s mission is to contribute to a healthier and happier society by providing excellence in oral self-care.

"We are strengthening our position in preventative oral self-care solutions, covering all categories with learning, user experience and innovation," she said.

Curaden has also begun a collaboration with the International Team for Implantology to make greater advances in prevention and care in the field of implant dentistry — a first for both brands to collaborate outside of their own global networks.

Steffen Mueller, managing director, USA and head of international sales at Curaden, said in the release that CURAPROX is undergoing transformation and growth in the years to come.

"The brand has always placed an emphasis on the importance of oral health and its direct relation to general health, which will continue to rapidly evolve through new innovations, strategic marketing tactics to educate the youth for generations to come, and cutting-edge product launches," he said.
