vTail, maker of a platform for healthcare communication, has brought its technology to the US dental market. The app connects healthcare professionals with medical products firms and provides information on services.
"Our research suggests dental professionals and companies will eagerly embrace vTail,” said Michael McCarthy, chief marketing officer at vTail. “Dentistry needs support and time saving efficiencies which the vTail app can easily provide.” According to McCarthy, the average dental office manages about 10,000 products from different companies, making interacting with the manufacturers a potentially daunting task.
“We want dental professionals to have an easy, intuitive way to get what they need from manufacturers on a timely basis, without searching for representatives' business cards,” said McCarthy. “We're also providing dentists with a searchable product database and a newsfeed which provides relevant content to dentists, dental specialists, registered dental hygienists and office managers."
The app is free for dental professionals and is compliant with HIPAA. Users do not need to provide personal information or opt into receiving communications from manufacturers. The app is intended to reduce the difficulty and time required to contact manufacturers and vendors in ordering dental supplies.
