Kois Center Annual Symposium

The primary focus of the annual Kois Center Symposium is centered around a yearly update on the newest research, products and protocols in dentistry. The symposium, held in Seattle July 27 to 29, also has another important purpose: to offer Kois Center members and their families an opportunity to build and maintain meaningful relationships and friendships with like-minded peers.

Dr. John Kois is the primary speaker for the Scientific Program, providing a comprehensive review and analysis of the most current literature, practices, and protocols in esthetic, implant and restorative dentistry. In addition, each year he selects a keynote speaker and the Kois Center Advisory Board selects alumni to present during the Scientific Program to enhance the growth and development of symposium attendees.

Featured speakers include:

  • Dr. David Chan
  • Dr. Steffen Decker
  • Dr. Dean E. Kois
  • Dr. Sandra Hulac
  • Dr. Amanda Seay, and
  • Dr. Andrea Shepperson.

Seay is a member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, American Society of Dental Aesthetics and a fellow accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She is also the author of "See - Art Esthetics Dental Photography," by Edra Publishing.

Shepperson is based in New Zealand and she is the owner of Shepperson Education, a dedicated teaching facility on Waiheke Island in Auckland, New Zealand. She runs intensive two- and three-day events for clinicians, with a strong focus on evidence-based clinical strategies that can be implemented with clarity. Shepperson is also the author of a recently-published book, "Managing Tooth Wear: A Comprehensive Guide for General Practice," also produced by Edra Publishing.
