Yankee, New England’s largest dental meeting, is sponsored by the Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) in cooperation with the dental societies of Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. This year Yankee’s theme Explore, Educate, Engage -is just what attendees will be doing at this three-day event.
Highlights at this year’s Yankee include continuing education courses, show floor exhibits, first-hand introduction to innovative new products, connecting with peers, education on the show floor, and so much more. Admission is $119 for American Dental Association members and their staff, and $399 for non-members.
Attendees will find continuing education courses on topics such as Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry, 5 Steps to Solving Work Related-Pain in Dentistry, and Spear Education Presenting on Rising Above Recent Chaos and Maintaining Forward Momentum. The recent-grad track, geared to those who have graduated with the past three years, will be of particular interest to that group. Here is the entire list of 250-plus courses offered.
No-cost educational opportunities are also available on the show floor and will be presented by exhibitors such as Wells Fargo, Crest & Oral-B, Benco Dental, and others. This year, Revere Partners, the first independent venture capital fund for oral health, presents two new events. First is The Hub, where five startups pitch products to companies and other like-minded visionaries. Learn more here. Revere is also presenting Startup Central on the show floor each day. Startup Central is a new-product showcase where attendees are introduced to and are hands-on with leading innovations in the oral health space by up-and-coming dental startups.
Attendees who are MDS members are also encouraged to stop by the Massachusetts Dental Society booth to learn more about advocacy efforts by the MDS, participate in the member survey, and pick up a thank you gift. The MDS staff will be available to answer questions about membership or other topics.
