Full service dental laboratory, ROE Dental Laboratory, and dental firm, RODO Medical, Inc., have inked a partnership deal to distribute and market the new RODO Abutment System. The device system to guide surgery of full arch restorations has won FDA clearance and is patented.
"We are excited to combine these two technologies. The RODO Abutment System simplifies the process for placing and retrieving restorations by eliminating the need for cement or screws. The speed and ease of retrieving these restorations will be a game changer to full arch restorative clinicians, and for their patients’ oral health." said BJ Kowalski, president of ROE Dental Laboratory.
The new system is aimed at making restorations easier and eliminates the use of cement and screws with the addition of the proprietary Smileloc attachment which is between the coping and abutment. The Nitinol attachment retains its shape when used with the Smilekey device.
Additionally, the system allows for effortless removal of prosthesis, greater retention compared with dental cement, better hygiene, and slimmer prosthesis. The system can also be used with the full arch system, CHROME GuidedSMILE, also developed with ROE.
The glandular odontogenic cyst (GOC) is a rare odontogenic cyst with a potentially aggressive growth potential and high recurrence rate.
