DEXIS’ Imaging Solutions Now Include ORTHOPANTOMOGRAPH OP 3D EX

ORTHOPANTOMOGRAPH OP 3D EX is a new x-ray platform now available from DEXIS designed specifically for general practitioners looking to expand their diagnostic capabilities with 3D imaging. It is part of the company’s digital ecosystem to aid clinicians in important workflow elements from visualizing progressive dental issues to designing chairside surgical guides

The ORTHOPANTOMOGRAPH OP 3D EX imaging system is designed to capture consistently accurate images through a simple, easy-to-learn workflow, according to DEXIS. The unit has a wide range of field of view sizes to support multiple indications including implant placement, periodontics, endodontics, and analysis for airway and temporomandibular joint (TMJ).

Clinicians can analyze clear, accurate 3D scans and diagnose with confidence thanks to the flexible field of view sizes and advanced filters. Examples of some filters include Metal Artifact Reduction and Implant Contrast Enhancement, and Edge-Preserving Noise Reduction.

Previously, DEXIS introduced its digital ecosystem, a suite of tools and software designed to connect and streamline the implant workflow from diagnosis to delivery. The company also recently announced a new software release that provides advanced tools to plan and execute same-day, prosthetically driven implants.

DTX Studio Clinic—which serves as the unifying software and central hub of the ecosystem—stores and manages all patient data as well as helps clinicians execute each step of the implant process from diagnostics to delivery.

The software’s functionality allows clinicians to plan an implant treatment and generate a surgical guide chairside–all in less than 3 minutes, according to DEXIS. Users can virtually extract teeth, adjust photorealistic abutments and crowns, and create an automated surgical guide that can be sent to a lab or produced in-house for same-day delivery, the company states.
