Medical visualization company, Anatomage, has spun its 3D dental group out as a new subsidiary, called Osteoid. The split will allow each to focus on its respective business, Anatomage with a focus on education and medical products, including cloud technology, dental imaging, and surgical guide creation.
Under its new company structure, Osteoid will work toward enhancing 3D dental imaging software and invest in further development and marketing. The company plans to develop visual solutions for orthodontic, endodontic, implant planning, and prosthodontic uses, and will seek customer input through the process.
“Our team is proud to have earned the trust of dental experts for delivering products that streamline the dental workflow,” said Jack Choi, founder and CEO of Anatomage. “As the separate dental-focused entity, Osteoid can remain on the leading edge of 3D visualization technology for the dental industry.”
Calvin Hur was named CEO of Osteoid; Hur brings more than two decades of experience in 3D design and manufacture. “Osteoid is on a mission to deliver the future of modern dentistry, and I’m honored to lead such a customer-driven team,” said Hur. “We are more focused and committed than ever to helping accelerate the move to digital dentistry.”
