Dental manufacturer Septodont recently announced that effective June 2, 2025, Karim Khadr will be appointed chief executive officer (CEO).
The world leader in dental anesthesia and leading manufacturer of dental pharmaceuticals and medical devices is making a change in its governance structure. Khadr will succeed Olivier Schiller who will continue to serve the company as chairman of the board.
“This development is a natural next step for our group and a decision I have made as I approach my 65th birthday”, said Schiller in a press release. “I have worked side by side with Karim since he joined Septodont in 2021 and have experienced first-hand his strategic mindset, his values and commitment to our employees and our customers. He is a highly accomplished leader, and it is with great confidence that I am handing over my responsibilities as chief executive officer.”
Khadr is a senior executive with over 30 years of experience, serving in various sales, marketing, business development and product management functions, in both large and small organizations in the medical devices and diagnostics industry. He joined Septodont four years ago as global dental president in charge of sales, marketing and innovation.
“I am privileged to have been given the opportunity to continue building on the success that Septodont has achieved under Olivier’s exceptional leadership, and I am excited to take on this responsibility starting in June. I look forward to working closely with the management team and all our employees to continue successfully executing on our strategy going forward”, added Khadr.
As Olivier moves into his new seat as chairman of the board, he will continue to serve the organization focusing on the company’s long-term growth and providing strategic direction to the board.
Since its inception in 1932, Septodont develops, produces and distributes a large range of products and solutions dedicated to serving the needs of dental professionals across the world.
The company offers a variety of products for endodontics, pain management, periodontics, and more. BioRoot Flow bioceramic root canal sealer and BufferPro 8.4% sodium bicarbonate buffer solution are just two of many popular products developed by Septodont.
