Dental anesthesia market to approach $3B by 2030

Katherine E. Pfaff

The global market for dental anesthesia is expected to reach a value of $2.81 billion by the year 2030, according to market research analysis company Grand View Research, Inc. The increase across the period of 2023 to 2030 is expected to reach a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 5.2%.

The market is expected to grow based on the higher rate of demand for standard dental care and preventive care. At the same time, increased rates of dental disease have also driven the growth in the utilization of dental anesthesia.

The most common dental disease seen in patients of all ages is dental caries. Across the forecast period, technological advancements and increased knowledge of oral health among consumers will also drive the dental anesthesia market.

Local anesthesia held the largest market share in 2022 at 52.9%. Another segment, determined by end-use, was led by the dental clinics’ segment and is based on the high number of dental practitioners and dental clinics.
