Canadian Orthodontic Partners expand to San Francisco

Katherine E. Pfaff

Canadian Orthodontic Partners, a network of 70 community-based docbraces clinics, has partnered with its first U.S. group, Salins Orthodontics in San Francisco.

Dr.  Sheldon Salins is a board-certified orthodontist and earned a doctoral degree in dentistry from Harvard School of Dental Medicine, according to a news release. Salins completed specialty training in orthodontics at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a member of Stanford University’s cleft lip and palate team and lectures internationally.

Dr. Bob Hatheway, chief clinical officer with Canadian Orthodontic Partners, said that Salins and his team exude the values and culture the company was seeking in a partner.

Salins’ team regularly attends continuing education lectures across the country and spend time teaching other local offices many aspects of clinical and patient care.

"It has always been an important focus for myself and the team to ensure we are constantly learning and growing and doing our part to advance the profession of orthodontics", Salins said in the news release

Partnering with Canadian Orthodontic Partners and joining the docbraces network was an easy choice, he said.

“This partnership will provide our people with opportunities for learning and career advancement; and for our patients, continued evolution of the best in-clinic experience and treatment outcomes," Salins said.
