Pacific Dental Services Foundation, shared the Dr. Carolyn Ghazal Dental Assistant Scholarship winners for the summer. In June, the awarded funds totaled $40,000 to ten students seeking to study to become dental assistants.

“I am so honored to have my name associated with such a worthwhile endeavor that is investing in the lives, education and futures of DA students throughout the nation,” said Dr. Ghazal. “My hope is that this financial support can help remove a barrier for students, and the mentorship they receive through the program will allow them the opportunity to pursue a noble career in dental assisting.”

Winners of the 10 scholarships, which include tuition and are awarded based on career goals, financial need, and service, are: Kelly Armstrong, Concorde Career College; Kimberley Do, Carrington College; Izella Campos, Concorde Career College; Elizabeth Miller, Concorde Career College; Bethany Morrow, PIMA Medical Institute; Claudia Young, Concorde Career College; Zakeriah Jacobs, Concorde Career College; Maria Jessy Rose Jimenez, Carrington College; Tylee Johnson, Concorde Career College; and Zolangel Rodriguez, Atlantic Technical College

“We are so excited to see what the future holds for these 10 impressive scholarship recipients. The PDS Foundation is honored to be a part of their journey,” said Kyle Guerin, executive director of the PDS Foundation.

PDS Foundation has provided more than $120,000 to students across 12 states. Scholarships were provided to 27 students. 4
