Dentsply Sirona Launches Atlantis Abutment Milling Service on DS Core Platform

The Atlantis Abutment Milling Service is designed to give dental laboratories greater flexibility and efficiency.

Dentsply Sirona, the world’s largest diversified manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies, is expanding its digital solutions for dental laboratories with the launch of the Atlantis ® Abutment Milling Service, the latest workflow on the DS Core platform. 1 The new service will debut at the LMT LAB DAY West 2026 (May 15-16, Garden Grove, CA) and officially launch on the US market this June.

The Atlantis Abutment Milling Service is designed to give dental laboratories greater flexibility and efficiency. Laboratories can design the abutment in 3Shape Dental System TM based on clinical needs and customer preferences, then simply send the case to DS Core through an intuitive, user-friendly ordering process. Dentsply Sirona mills the lab-designed abutment in one of its world-class facilities and ships it within two business days. 2

Since 1999, Atlantis has been a trusted name in patient specific abutment solutions, with over 5 million cases delivered globally. The new milling service builds on this strong foundation, giving laboratories access to a proven solution while enhancing workflow speed and convenience. While designed to streamline laboratory operations, the Atlantis Abutment Milling Service also delivers tangible benefits for dentists and patients. Faster lab turnaround times mean that clinicians can advance treatment steps more quickly, reducing waiting periods and helping patients progress toward their final restorations with confidence. The combination of efficiency and precision ultimately supports treatment planning, smoother clinical workflows, and reliable esthetic outcomes.

“We know that time, precision, and reliability are critical for dental laboratories,” said Mark Bezjak, Group Vice President, Americas Regional Commercial Organizations at Dentsply Sirona. “With the Atlantis Abutment Milling Service, we are combining our decades of expertise with the advantages of digital connectivity to deliver a premium solution faster and more efficiently. This launch underscores our commitment to supporting labs with innovative workflows that help them serve their customers and patients with confidence.”
